Tehran, Baghdad well-coordinated at intl. communities

TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – Health Minister Hassan Hashemi said Iran held ties with the neighboring country of Iraq in all sectors as both sides work on joint programs in the field of medical sciences, health and treatment.

The Iranian health minister made the remarks on Tuesday evening upon arriving in Iraq. Speaking to reporters at Baghdad International Airport, Hashemi added “Iran and Iraq have always used each other's experiences and fortunately a great deal of coordination exists between the two countries in international communities.”

The official said he was being accompanied by a delegation from the Iranian Health Ministry as well as the private sector. He said meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Ebadi and other officials of the neighboring country were on the agenda of his visit.

“During the stay, an exhibition of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment of Islamic Republic of Iran will be inaugurated,” he continued.

Health Minister Hassan Hashemi went on to underline that his two-day visit also aimed at reaching further agreements with Iran in areas of pharmaceuticals, treatment and medical sciences.
